made it come true.

it's official:
i'm going to Spain.!

i can't even begin to put into words how excited i am... it's on another level.. i have been hoping and dreaming of this trip forever and i guess i wished it into a reality. my dad and his wife tell me that it is a completely different lifestyle and i'm anxious to see what it's all about. aside from being extremely happy to spend weeks in another country and experience this 'different' lifestyle.. i'm excited to meet my baby brother.!! he said 'tata' the other day when i was talking to my dad via skype.. i'm kinda sad vicky can't come.. that would make this trip perfect..
now the problem is... this is all i think about. i'm going in May and according to all the websites i've read, it's going to be what i consider chilly with highs in the low 70's and lows into the 40s/50s... and i've decided i don't want to wear jeans everyday ((like i do now)).. time to go shopping.!! i want to wear dresses and tights.. or even comfortable pants.. i'd like some platform heels too.. and some boots.. ahh too many wants.

.. and i have a list of places i want to go and things i want to see/do.

• i have to have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine ((or 2 or 3)) at an outdoor cafe and people watch.. listen to their accents..
• i want to will see Gaudi's architecture.. it's pretty freaking awesome.
• of course the tapas.. i hear it's all they do over there when they go out for drinks.. drink and eat tapas..
• i want to see a Flemenco show.. i know it's so tourist-y but i mean... when in Rome Spain, right.?
• i want to go see a game with my dad.. because growing up, my dad was never into the same sports that i was.. he never got into the football games with me.. and i never got into soccor.. but hey, gotta spend some family time so, i'll go. i hear Real Madrid is what's up in Europe. ((like i said.. i've been obsessively looking online for all things Spain))
• and of course, go shopping with the stepmom lol i think that's the very first time i've called her that. ever.
  

final thoughts: now i DEFINITELY need a camera. and i will take pictures of everything. every.little.thing.

back in the summer of '02, the kellster and i went to New York to visit her family...
i don't know what made me think of that today.
maybe because she's coming over today.?! who knows.

so i went to my closet and grabbed the photo album and looked through the old pics.. 

i can't wait till kelly gets here so we can reminisce together.. lol

today is Dr.Seuss' birthday so I read You're Only Old Once to the kiddies.. they loved it... and it's sad but a few of them had never heard a Dr.Seuss book before. :(  so tomorrow i'm probably going to read Green Eggs and Ham or The Cat in the Hat.. they have to hear the classics. i didn't think it would be much of a big deal outside of the school.. but how wrong i was.  i came home to find google looking like that and thought it was cute.  then, on the food network ((can't stop watching)) they had a cake making challenge using Dr.Seuss books as inspirations for the designs of the cakes.. i wanna be a kid forever.
