i had originally planned to write this long blog about the 'quarter life crisis' i seem to be going through, but changed my mind.  Instead, i'll get right to it.  I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. ((i laughed as i typed that)) i have spent the last 4 years of my life wanting nothing more than to be the best darn elementary school teacher anyone has ever met.! i wanted to be the teacher my students would remember for the rest of their lives; inviting me to their weddings and sending me pics of their kids. laugh all you want. so i worked hard.  i might have even been a bit of an overachiever.  So I graduate with my cute little Magna Cum Laude cord and was all excited to start my life.  That was 3 months ago.  Now.... there are no jobs. I'm not going to get into the politics of it, but a lot is going on down here in South Florida in the world of education.  i have spent the last few weeks completely discouraged and upset, not even sure of what i want to do anymore.  I try to be such a positive person, but it's been hard lately.  Good thing i have amazing friends.  I know everything will fall into place, wherever and whatever that may be.  I just have to continue to pray and count my blessings... spend some 'me' time.. and enjoy the now. I'm not about to let anything bring me down.

"Now I could let these dream killers kill my self-esteem
Or use my arrogance as the steam to power my dreams."

Listening to Kanye can always bring that confidence back like it never left.

that's all. back to the regularly scheduled program.

Saw you over on Lil' Woman's blog and thought I'd pop over.

I am in the same place with the whole teaching thing. I got my degree in 2008 but have yet to even attempt my credential because there are NO teaching jobs here in California. You can't even sign up for substitute jobs because there are no openings due to the fact that all the teachers who were laid off went and signed up to substitute.

It is so frustrating to have a degree and a dream and not be able to do anything with it because of the politics that go along with education.

Keep your head up and hopefully things will turn around soon!
